The red clay serves the function of enhancing the flavor of tea, smooths texture, lessen astringency and bitterness. The effect is no less if not more than Yi Xing clay teapots. CZ teapots are made in small sizes which is ideal for kungfu tea. As in a Ming dynasty - 400 years old, tea book recommended small teapots make better and more flavorful tea.
